In herbalism, the willow is ruled by the moon. The willow is sacred to the goddess Luna for many reasons: It is the tree that loves water the most; the goddess Luna is the giver of dew and moisture; its leaves and bark are an effective remedy against rheumatism, which was believed to be caused by witchcraft. The English word “witch” is derived from the word “willow”, from which “wicker” is obtained. Marie Ladrová will present an object and paintings related to the theme of Easter.
