What If? What would happen if? Alena Foustková asks questions about the conditions in which we live and which shape our beliefs, opinions and prejudices. Would other ways of thinking change our civilization? We think we are excellent at adaptation and assimilation, but is this really the case? This exhibition is the result of reflections on empathy — the measure of all things — and about what informs us and our ability to live in today’s world. The starting point of this exhibition was the establishment of the Prague women’s Franciscan community, as put forth in letters between Clare of Assisi and Agnes of Bohemia in the 13th century, along with work that the artist created during her residency in Fiskars, Finland.
